The Powerful Young Project (PYP) Institute Scholarship Partnership Scheme
Introduction
The Powerful Young Project Offers Scholarship to PYP alumni to give them an opportunity for quality education and continuous growth pending when the public schools become better. These are students who have shown a love for learning, hard work, discipline, productivity and an aspiration of becoming problem solvers in their society
Eligibility Criteria
Students who:
- Are alumni of the PYP program both the 6 months tutorial and the summer program
- Attend Public Schools in Festac Town and environs
- Are highly motivated to learn and hardworking
- Strive for success and have problem solving mindsets
- Have strong desire to make impact in the future
- Have strong support from parents/guardians that value education and have cooperated with PYP
- Appear to have limited financial support from their family
Scholarship covers
- Tuition fee throughout Secondary Education
- School Uniform
- Textbooks and Notebooks
*Scholarship does not cover cost of transport to and from school, other miscellaneous expenses required by school, cost for feeding, accommodation, socks, and any such not listed above.
*The scholarship will continue only if the student maintains an excellent performance
Funding Plan for Partners
The funding plan involves a monthly subscription to the PYP account which will be provided. (A one time payment for a school’s term fees is also possible.)
The amount for the monthly subscription is dependent on the number of students to be sponsored. However a fixed rate per student has been calculated and adjusted for all class grades.
Accountability
A shared folder containing student’s progress reports and financial accounts will be created and shared with sponsors and subsequently updated for the duration of the sponsorship.
