PYP 2023 Children’s Day Report.

On Saturday, 27th of May, 2023, we held our  2023 Children’s Day event for the PYP kids, and it was such an amazing time they had dancing, playing games, participating in quizzes and generally just having fun with their friends.

It was a small party we organized for the students and then, we also held a session where the kids got to learn about the topic, “Promoting National Consciousness Among Kids”, which was a very insightful session for them. The event was originally slated for 10am, but there was a little setback, it rained and we could not finish setting our venue up on time. The moment the rain subsided, we continued the set up and at 11 o’clock on the dot, we kicked off the event. At a point, we paused on the activities and had a session with the kids where we discussed on the topic: “Promoting National Consciousness Among Kids”, they were taught their rights and obligations as a citizen of Nigeria, as well as the different Nigerian National symbols, we ended it with the kids reciting the 2nd Stanza of the National Anthem.

At the end of this session, the kids resumed with their games and other activities, we gave them refreshments and brought the program to a close.

This day was filled with amazing experiences that the kids kept raving about even till the following week and we are sure they will not forget it anytime soon.
